Pollard Ranch
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Portland, Oregon · Multnomah County
A u-cut plantation of about 35,000 trees on Skyline Boulevard in the hills northwest of downtown Portland, run by a family ranch that also raises pigs, with warming fires and hot drinks on cold days.
Staff meet you at your car, ask what you are after and point you to the right block of trees. Douglas and noble firs are the main u-cut trees, priced flat for small trees and by the foot above four feet; the farm also grows grand and Nordmann fir.
The farm is open Friday afternoons and all day on weekends through the season, and on other weekdays by appointment if you text ahead. Hot cocoa, hot cider and a fire pit help on wet days. If you would rather skip the field, the ranch also sells fresh-cut trees for farm pickup or local delivery through its online store.
