Smith's Family Fun Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Hillsborough, North Carolina · Orange County
A full-service family farm in Hillsborough where you can choose and cut a white or Virginia pine, or pick from pre-cut mountain Fraser firs, with free hot cocoa and cider and a kids' play area.
Point out the pine you want in the field and the staff cut it, give it a fresh base, run it through the shaker, bag it and can even fit it to your stand. Fraser firs from five to twelve feet are sold pre-cut, with most trees in the six- to nine-foot range.
Fresh wreaths, bows and tree stands are sold on site, and the farm offers delivery. Weekday hours are short and late in the afternoon, so plan on a weekend if you want daylight in the field. Pets, alcohol and smoking are not allowed. The farm takes cash and cards.
