Northlake Christmas Trees & Nursery
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Benson, North Carolina · Johnston County
A small family-run tree farm and nursery near Meadow in southern Johnston County, growing pines, cypress and spruces for choose-and-cut since the early 1980s, with pre-cut mountain Fraser firs and wreaths made from the farm's own greenery.
Walk the field to pick a pine, cypress or spruce of at least five feet; smaller trees in the rows are left to grow. Pines and cypress are priced by the foot, spruces a little higher, and pre-cut Fraser firs from Ashe County carry individual tags. You can tag and reserve a tree in early November before cutting opens after Thanksgiving.
The farm is open on weekend afternoons, with weekday visits by appointment only. Bring your own tarp and tie-downs, and bring cash or an in-state check, since cards are not taken and the nearest ATM is a short drive away. Wreaths, tree stands and, when available, potted live evergreens are sold on site. Pets are not allowed.
