Boyce Farms
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Raleigh, North Carolina · Wake County
A long-running north Raleigh tree farm off Mount Vernon Church Road with a small choose-and-cut field of white pine, Leyland cypress and Arizona cypress, plus a large stock of pre-cut mountain Fraser firs and fresh wreaths.
The choose-and-cut rows run from the road down along the power line. Staff will cut your tree for you, or you can borrow a bow saw; bring your own hand saw if you like, but chainsaws are not allowed. Trees are shaken, netted and tied onto your car at no extra charge.
Pre-cut Fraser firs stand in front of the building, flocked trees sit in a tent beside it, and wreaths and roping are sold inside. The farm notes that its field supply is limited while younger trees grow in, so come early in the season if you want to cut your own.
