Phillips Farms of Chatham

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Pittsboro, North Carolina · Chatham County

A family farm outside Pittsboro that grows its own pines and cypress for choose-and-cut and brings in Fraser firs from its land near Sparta, with custom wreaths made from the farm's own trimmings.

Walk the fields to find a Leyland cypress, Virginia or white pine, Blue Ice or Carolina Sapphire, and the crew cuts it, shakes it, bags it and ties it to your car. Pre-cut Fraser firs in every size are on hand for anyone who wants a mountain tree.

Wreaths come in several sizes and can be made to order, and roping is sold by the length. The farm runs two Pittsboro locations, on Hanks Chapel Road and on US-64 west of town, and the same family offers choose-your-own pumpkins in the fall. Check the farm's Facebook page for current hours before you drive out.
