Heritage Valley Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Washington, Missouri · Franklin County
A Missouri Centennial Farm near Washington with more than 30 acres of white pine and Canaan fir to cut yourself, plus fresh fir wreaths, a holiday shop and pecans grown in the farm's own bottomland.
Every tree in the field carries a tag with its height and price, so you can compare as you walk the rows. The farm lends saws, and carts and sleds are on hand for hauling your tree back. At the barn it is shaken, netted and drilled for a peg-style stand at no extra charge.
White pines run about 5 to 9 feet with a few taller, and the Canaan firs have short, dark needles and a good fir scent. Opening Friday needs a reservation; weekends are walk-in. Pets are not allowed, restrooms are on site, and the grass lot fills quickly, so carpool if you can and follow Four Mile Road rather than North Four Mile Road.
