A large tree farm just north of Grand Rapids in Belmont with u-cut fields, free trailer rides, a marshmallow bonfire, sledding and Santa on weekends.
Hand saws are loaned free, and trailer rides carry visitors out to the fields. Back at the barn, shaking, bundling and drilling for the stand are all included at no cost. Small u-cut trees have a set price, and the farm posts its full price chart on its site.
Complimentary hot chocolate and coffee keep things warm, and food trucks visit on some days. The shop sells stands, wreaths, garland, kissing balls and porch pots, and cards and mobile payments are accepted. Leashed dogs are welcome. Weekday hours are short, starting in the afternoon, so plan a weekend visit if you want daylight in the field.
