Hart Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Rockford, Michigan · Kent County
A 120-acre family tree farm north of Rockford with a wide mix of fir, pine and spruce to cut, free wagon rides and farm animals to visit on weekends.
Saws are free to use, and the fields hold Fraser, concolor, Korean and Canaan fir along with Douglas fir, Black Hills and blue spruce. White and Scotch pine are in shorter supply for cutting. Small trees up to five feet have their own price tier, which makes the farm a good stop for tabletop trees. Shaking and drilling for pin stands are free.
On weekends there are wagon rides, a food tent and animals to pet. Wreaths, garland and pin-style stands are sold on site. Payment is cash or check only, so plan ahead.
