Summit Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Los Gatos, California
A family-managed Christmas tree farm on Summit Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Los Gatos, with roughly 100 acres of trees and open land and one flat price for any tree you cut.
Douglas fir is the main crop, with white fir and Scotch pine mixed in. The farm supplies the saw and free twine to tie your tree down, and every tree costs the same regardless of size, so it pays to look for a tall one.
A Cub Scouts snack shack sells snacks and soda, and mistletoe and wreaths are available. Picnics are welcome, so pack a lunch for a mountain outing. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.
