Black Road Christmas Tree Farms
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Los Gatos, California
Three choose-and-cut fields along Black Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Los Gatos, growing Douglas, grand and white fir, Scotch pine and Sierra redwoods that can reach well over head height.
Park at Lakeside School next to Farm #1, where picnic tables, a sports field and play structures make a good break spot. Each field grows a slightly different mix: Douglas and grand fir everywhere, Sierra redwood at Farms #1 and #3, Scotch pine at Farm #1 and white fir only at Farm #3. Saws are available at no charge.
There is no ATM at any of the farms, and the farm asks visitors to bring exact change. Parking gets tight at midday, so arrive early, and check the farm's Facebook page for opening-day updates.
