Clawson's Choose & Cut
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Boone, North Carolina · Watauga County
A busy family farm next to Meat Camp Baptist Church on Highway 194, open every day of the season with Fraser firs up to about twelve feet, hayrides and farm animals to feed.
Clawson's is one of the easier High Country farms to reach from Boone, a few miles up Highway 194. It opens daily through most of the season, Thanksgiving Day included, which helps if you are visiting over the holiday weekend.
The trees are Fraser fir from tabletop size to about twelve feet, and the shop sells Fraser fir and white pine wreaths and garland. Kids can pet and feed the farm animals, ride the hay wagon and look at old farm equipment, and hot cocoa and coffee are free. Pets are welcome and cards are accepted. The same family runs Panoramic View nearby.
