Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Waynesville, North Carolina · Haywood County
A Fraser fir farm on a mountainside above Waynesville that has offered choose-and-cut since 1999, with Santa on select days, a fire pit with cocoa and cider, and historic log cabins for an overnight stay.
Walk the fields and pick a tree with a white price tag, from tabletop size up past 12 feet. Cut it yourself with a borrowed bow saw or wave down a staff member to do it. Tear off the bottom of the tag, pay at the tent, and the crew hauls the tree down, bales it and helps tie it to your car. Ask before tying if you want the trunk drilled for a stand.
The tent area has a gift shop with wreaths, garland and local crafts, plus tree stands and root-ball trees. Pets are welcome, the farm is cash or card only (no checks), and portable restrooms are on site. The road is paved all the way up.
