Pinestead Tree Farms
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Isanti, Minnesota · Isanti County
A 40-plus-acre choose-and-cut farm off Highway 65 in Isanti with balsam and Fraser fir, spruce and white pine, a gift shop, walking trails through the fields and Santa on select weekends.
A greeter at the information kiosk hands out a saw and a field map. You can drive almost anywhere on the farm, and walkers get a sled to haul their tree. Choose-and-cut trees carry red price tags and pre-cut trees blue ones; leave the tag on and drive to the shake-and-bale station behind the buildings.
Weekends bring a campfire, games, photo spots and a food truck, with Santa on a few of them, and weekday visitors get free cider and cookies in the gift shop. Leashed dogs are welcome, cards, checks and cash are all accepted, and a portable toilet is on site during the season.
