Krueger's Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Lake Elmo, Minnesota · Washington County
A family-run farm in Lake Elmo with cut-your-own fields of balsam, Canaan and Fraser fir, a big pre-cut display, a bonfire and free hot cider for every visitor.
Book a time slot online before you go, since reservations are required all season for both cut-your-own and pre-cut trees. Hand saws are available, power saws are not allowed, and you pull your tree out of the field on one of the farm's big sleds because vehicles stay out of the rows.
Back at the barn, staff shake, wrap and fresh-cut your tree and tie it on your car at no extra charge, and you get a free yearly ornament. The farm takes credit cards only, no cash. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Get there before 5 p.m. if you want to cut, because the fields close earlier than the barn.
