Sambol's Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Fortville, Indiana · Hancock County
A small, full-service tree farm on State Road 9 near Fortville where Canaan and concolor firs grow in the field, with pre-cut Fraser firs, handmade wreaths and a gift shop for those who prefer not to cut.
The farm hands out saws, sleds and kneeling pads, and every field tree carries a tag showing its height and price. Once your tree is down, the crew drills, shakes and nets it, then ties it onto your car at no extra charge. Ten-foot trees need to be reserved ahead by contacting the farm.
Pre-cut Fraser and concolor firs come in from Michigan for anyone who wants a different look. Weekday hours are short, late-afternoon windows, so weekends are the easier time to visit if you want daylight in the field.
