Lost Forty Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Greenfield, Indiana · Hancock County
A grow-it-here tree farm north of Greenfield where every tree is still in the ground when you arrive, with pines, firs and spruces on about 100 acres and loaner saws for cutting your own.
Nothing is pre-cut or shipped in: you walk the fields, pick a tagged tree and cut it fresh. Only trees with a price tag are for sale, and trees marked with flagging tape are discounted. Loaner hand saws are available and chainsaws are welcome, and staff will help if you need a hand choosing or cutting.
The farm recommends Canaan fir and eastern white pine for good needle retention. Cash and checks are preferred; cards are accepted with a small surcharge. Hours change week to week, so call before you drive out.
