Valley View Tree Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Burlington, Wisconsin

A cut-your-own farm about five miles northwest of Burlington, near Alpine Valley, with four firs, three spruces and white pine sold by the foot and a gift shop full of evergreen decor.

Staff at the entrance hand you a saw, and once you have picked a tree it is shaken and wrapped in netting, with twine for the trip home. Choose from Fraser, balsam, concolor or Nordmann fir, Black Hills, Colorado blue or Norway spruce, or white pine. Firs cost the most per foot, then spruces, then pine.

You pay in the gift shop, which sells wreaths, porch pots, ornaments, tree stands and disposal bags. Cards are accepted and leashed pets are welcome. The season starts before Thanksgiving and ends in mid-December, earlier than most farms.
