Hunter Family Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Olympia, Washington · Thurston County
A Thurston County farm on the Yelm Highway that turns from a big pumpkin patch in fall to a u-cut Christmas tree field, with farm animals to visit and a barn of fresh-cut trees.
Pick up a saw and a cart at the start, head into the field and haul your own tree back. If you would rather not cut, the barn has fresh-cut trees and stays open later in the day than the u-cut field.
The gift shop sells ornaments, tree stands and wreaths, and kids can stop by the farm animals. Saws stop going out in the late afternoon, so arrive with some daylight to spare, especially on the shorter December days.
