David Hill Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Forest Grove, Oregon · Washington County
A flower and Christmas tree farm on David Hill west of Forest Grove that opens its u-cut fields for Thanksgiving weekend, with noble, Nordmann, grand and Douglas fir and a bonfire with s'mores.
At the field you pick up a tag and a measuring pole, find your tree and tag it; helpers with chainsaws can do the cutting if you ask and will bring the tree out to the main road for the crew to collect. At the baling station staff recut the stump, bale the tree in twine and help tie it on your car, all at no extra charge, and every tree comes with a free ornament.
U-cut trees have a six-foot minimum and are only cut on opening weekend, so plan around that. After that the farm sells pre-cut trees on weekends. Handmade wreaths and seasonal flower arrangements are for sale.
