Walsh Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · St. Louisville, Ohio · Licking County
A Licking County family farm north of Newark, planted in 1958 and still run by the Walsh family, where Fraser fir is the tree to cut yourself and a seasonal store sells wreaths and ornaments.
Only Fraser fir is cut-your-own here; blue spruce and white pine are sold pre-cut next to the main building. Saws are available, and baling and drilling for Stand-Strait stands are offered for a small fee. Trees taller than eight feet are in short supply.
The season is short, usually just over a week around Thanksgiving, so check the farm's site before driving out. Cards are accepted with a surcharge, and the seasonal store carries handmade items, ornaments and live wreaths.
