A small family farm in Turtlecreek Township near Lebanon that opens for a handful of weekend days each season, with one flat price for a tree you cut yourself.
Open days are few, usually Thanksgiving weekend and the weekend after, and they depend on the weather, so check the farm's Facebook page before driving out. Bringing your own handsaw is encouraged. Every cut-your-own tree sells for the same flat price, plus tax, whatever the size, which makes it easy to budget.
Dogs have been welcome in recent seasons, so the whole family can come along. With such a short season, go early on the first open day for the widest pick of trees, and wear boots for the fields.
