Hill's Christmas Tree Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Springville, New York · Erie County

A family-run choose-and-cut farm in the hills of southern Erie County, about a half hour south of Buffalo, with seven kinds of fir and spruce, a barn of pre-cut trees and a gift shop in the main barn.

Pick up a saw at the farm and head into the rows, where you will find Canaan, concolor, Fraser, grand and Korean fir along with Colorado blue and Black Hills spruce. Whole trees only: topping trees or cutting half a tree is not allowed, and axes, hatchets and chainsaws stay home. Trees are priced by the foot.

If the weather turns, the Cut Tree Barn keeps pre-cut and potted trees under cover. The main barn sells wreaths, centerpieces and mantel pieces alongside Amish toys and baskets, and hot chocolate and cookies are sold on site. Leashed dogs are welcome and there are restrooms. The farm is open only three weekends, so plan ahead.
