Wood Street Christmas Trees
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Groveland, Massachusetts · Essex County
A small cut-your-own lot on Wood Street in Groveland in the Merrimack Valley, with trees mostly six to seven feet tall at modest prices and a handful of weekend opening days.
Bring your own hand saw or borrow one from the farm; cordless reciprocating saws are fine, chainsaws are not. Sleds and tree wheelers are on hand for dragging your tree to the baler, where it is wrapped for free so it fits in most cars. Most trees are in the six-to-seven-foot range, which suits standard ceilings.
The farm opens on select days starting the weekend before Thanksgiving and adds hours as the season goes on, so check the website before you go. Wear sturdy footwear, bring rope or bungees, and keep dogs leashed. Exact change or a check is appreciated, as cards and electronic payments are not accepted.
