Gaver Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Mount Airy, Maryland · Frederick County
A big agritourism farm near Mount Airy with about 60 acres of Christmas trees, from Canaan and Fraser fir to Colorado blue spruce, plus a market with a bakery and a full greenery shop.
Saws are free to use, and shaking and baling are free when you bring your tree in. If you would rather not cut, fresh-cut trees are sold too. Seven species grow in the fields, so there is a good range of needle types and shapes.
The farm market has a wreath and greenery shop with swags, pine roping and window boughs, and a cafe with doughnuts and hot cocoa. Pets are not allowed. In fall the same farm runs pick-your-own pumpkins and apples.
