Jay's Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Mooresville, Indiana · Morgan County
A family tree farm in Mooresville, southwest of Indianapolis, with fields of Canaan and concolor fir and white and Scotch pine to cut yourself, plus a rack of more than a hundred fresh-cut trees.
Saws and carrying carts are supplied for the fields. After you cut, the crew shakes and wraps your tree, drills the trunk if your stand needs it and loads it, and staff can help tie it down with the twine they provide. If you would rather not cut, the fresh-cut rack is restocked through the season and includes Douglas fir.
Field firs cost more than the pines, and the farm posts a size-based price list on its site. Santa makes visits on select days, and tree stands are sold on site. Weekday hours are a short late-afternoon window, so plan on a weekend for the most daylight.
