Tammen Treeberry Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Wilmington, Illinois · Will County
A roughly 160-acre choose-and-cut farm south of Joliet near Wilmington, open every day of the season with tall Scotch and white pines and smaller plantings of Douglas, Fraser and Canaan fir.
Tammen is one of the larger cut-your-own farms in Illinois, and its pines reach around 15 feet, while the firs top out closer to 8 to 10 feet and Fraser fir is limited. Shaking and baling are available for an extra charge. The farm plants more trees than it harvests each year.
Supply has been tighter in recent seasons, so the farm may close early. Call or check its Facebook page before you make the drive. In summer the same farm opens its fields for pick-your-own blueberries.
