Larson's Family Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Sandwich, Illinois · DeKalb County
A family farm near Sandwich where you drive out to the tree area, walk the rows and cut one of six evergreen varieties, all sold at one flat price that includes shaking and netting.
Bring your own saw or borrow one at the farm. Park by the rows, pick your tree and cut it, and the farm will shake out loose needles and net it so it is easy to carry to the car. Canaan fir, concolor fir, Norway spruce and Scotch and white pine grow here.
The heated barn store sells handmade wreaths, roping and homemade cookies. Bring cash or a check, because cards are not taken. Pets have to stay in the car. Weekday hours are short and the farm closes in the rain, so call ahead in bad weather.
