Hillside Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Camino, California · El Dorado County
A 30-acre Apple Hill tree farm on North Canyon Road with roughly 25,000 trees, including Nordmann, noble, Fraser, white and Swift silver fir, all sold at a single price and reached by grassy or gravel paths.
Pick out your tree in the rows and either cut it yourself with a farm saw or let the crew cut it for you. Staff can wrap the tree for the drive home and help tie it to your car. Every variety and size costs the same, with a lower price for cash than for cards.
The farm runs a small train ride and has a picnic area, and fresh wreaths are sold on site. Leashed dogs are welcome. Because it sits in the heart of Apple Hill, it pairs easily with a stop at the nearby orchards and bakeries on the same trip.
