Dewberry Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Brookshire, Texas · Waller County
A large agritourism farm west of Houston in Brookshire that grows Murray cypress for cutting, with farm-staff help at the saw and a holiday evening event, A Berry Merry Christmas, on the same grounds.
Pick a Murray cypress in the field and cut it yourself with a farm-provided hand saw or bow saw, or ask a team member to cut it for you. Bring your own hand saw if you like, but chainsaws and axes are not allowed. Trees under 11 feet are shaken and baled at no charge, and twine is available if you tie the tree on yourself.
Tree shopping wraps up mid-afternoon, so come early. If you also have tickets for the evening event, load your tree first, since you cannot collect it afterward. Pets are not allowed. Food stands, tree stands and the general store round out the visit, and a limited number of pre-cut Fraser firs are sold too.
