A family tree farm in LaGrange, Lorain County, where one flat price covers any tree you cut in the fields and wagon rides carry visitors out to the rows.
Pick up a hand saw at the shop (chainsaws and electric saws are not allowed), ride the wagon out to the fields and cut any tree you like; most cut-your-own trees are five to six feet tall. Staff bring cut trees up front, shake them and wrap them for the trip home. White pine, Canaan fir and blue spruce are among the trees grown here, and pre-cut trees from tabletop to 12 feet are sold near the shop.
The shop carries wreaths, roping and snacks. Payment is cash or check only, with the nearest ATM about a mile and a half away in town. Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome.
