Ergle Christmas Tree Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Dade City, Florida · Pasco County

A long-running family tree farm north of Dade City where visitors roam roughly 65 acres of Florida-grown sand pine and southern red cedar, with a barn gift shop, a kids' train and a concession stand on weekends.

Pick up a saw and twine at the farm, walk the rows to find your tree and cut it yourself. Staff shake and bale each tree so it is easier to load. Trees run from tabletop sizes up to about 15 feet, priced by height. If you would rather skip the saw, pre-cut Fraser firs from North Carolina and potted trees are also sold.

The gift shop in an old horse barn carries ornaments, T-shirts and fresh wreaths, and Christmas cacti are sold too. On weekends and the Friday after Thanksgiving there are short train rides for kids and a concession stand with kettle corn, boiled peanuts, hot dogs and hot cocoa on cool days. Popular sizes can sell out well before Christmas, so come early in the season.
