Peltzer Pines
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Silverado, California · Orange County
A canyon tree farm in Orange County's Silverado area where you pick a Monterey pine or Leyland cypress from the field and cut it with help from the farm crew.
Trees with white price tags are the ones for sale, so look for a tag as you walk the rows. The farm supplies the saws and asks visitors not to bring their own, and staff will help with the cutting and with getting the tree onto your car. There is no shaking or netting, so give the tree a good shake before it comes inside.
Credit cards are not accepted. Bring cash or a check, although there is an ATM on site. No reservation is needed. You can also pick a tree early and come back for it later with your receipt. The farm has no lights and closes at dusk, so come early in the day.
